Three separate cottages nestled in the 7000 m² property offer all the amenities you need to enjoy a holiday in Skyros, as though you were in the comfort of your own home. The homes have been designed with special sensitivity to people and to the environment, using sustainable materials and practices as much as possible and allowing wheelchair access throughout the outside area of the site. The prime location of the property is situated at a junction where the central town on one side and the Molos beach on the other are easily accessible by car in less than 5 minutes or in 15-20 minutes by foot.

Themis, the goddess of justice in antiquity

The local name for the area where the property sits is Themis after the ancient Greek Goddess of Justice, wife, and advisor to Zeus. A temple in her honor is said to have been built on the hill opposite Themis Homes; unfortunately, there are no longer any visible ruins of the sacred site but the name remains, recalling the virtue which she symbolizes.

Themis is depicted as sitting to the right of Zeus, holding scales and a sword, an allegory for justice and order, at times she wears a blindfold as a sign of impartiality. The three Horae, her daughters, often referred to as Thallo, Auxo (pronounced Afxo) and Karpo, in earlier Classical times, represent the order of nature: the three seasons Spring, Summer and Autumn. Like the three Horae, Themis Homes consists of three houses, each independent, each unique, but sharing the same sense of well-being, which we hope our guests will enjoy.
